Stay on Top of Your Fitness as You Head Back to the Office

Stay on Top of Your Fitness as You Head Back to the Office | Garmin

If you’re heading back into the office more frequently, we know it can be hard to keep up with your fitness goals and routines. Whether you’ve only got 5 minutes between meetings or an hour-long lunch break, there are plenty of features on your Garmin smartwatch or in Garmin Connect™ that can help you stay fit.

Move Alert

It’s easy to sit at a desk all day, so turn the move alert on your compatible Garmin smartwatch back on so you remember to step away from your computer every so often. A “Move!” notification will pop up on your watch after one hour of inactivity — so get up and get some steps in to reset the alert.

Wellness Tracking

Garmin will help keep track of your health stats so you’re feeling your best throughout the day. Body Battery™ will monitor your body’s energy levels throughout the day and night, giving you a better idea of when you should take it easy. Meanwhile, sleep metrics will give you a look at your sleep quality and if you have a compatible Garmin smartwatch, you will receive a sleep score that lets you know if your sleep was more restful or more stressful. If you’re finding you’re dragging during the day and your sleep score is low, it may be an indicator that you need to get to bed earlier. What’s more, if you’re stressed during the day, your Garmin will know. Compatible Garmin smartwatches offer a stress score and will alert you if it detects a high level of stress. To bring your stress levels back down, be sure to take advantage of on-device breathing exercises.

Challenges

Stay active and spark some competition among your friends or coworkers by creating and joining Challenges in Garmin Connect. Whether it’s steps, running or cycling for a day, week, weekend or longer, start a challenge to see who can come out on top of the leaderboard. If you just want to hold yourself accountable and you’re a fan of accumulating Garmin Connect Badges (no judgment, we love them too), you can take part in new challenges every month; all you need to do is join each Badge Challenge to earn a badge at the end of each challenge period.

Reevaluate Your Goals

Heading back to the office more regularly may be a good time to reevaluate your goals in Garmin Connect. Whether you want to create tougher goals to keep you motivated or ease up on them as life gets busier, it’s easy to make those changes and check on your progress in Garmin Connect. If you’re looking to step it up or take a step back, you can also adjust your step goals to account for your changing schedule.

On-device Workouts

Whether you’ve got an entire lunch hour free or just a few minutes between meetings, your Garmin watch can get you moving. Choose from preloaded workouts including cardio, strength, yoga and Pilates right on your watch, or use the Garmin Connect app1 to download more workouts for free.

Health Snapshot

Capture a collection of health-related insights at any time during the day with the Garmin Health Snapshot feature. Metrics such as heart rate, heart rate variability, Pulse Ox2, respiration rate and stress are recorded and included in a report that provides a glimpse of your overall health right on your compatible Garmin smartwatch.
