Snow Club closes the season with a flurry of hot stats from the slopes

As our first-ever snowsport season draws to a close, we’ve crowned a trio of winter wonders who clocked up some impressive stats on the slopes with Garmin GPS. Powered by our pioneering wrist-worn Foretrex 401 GPS, more than 5,000 guests at ten specialist Garmin Snow Club Test Centre Chalets around the Alps have shared their best times and climbs in a battle to win a sled-load of prizes.

Foretrex 401, as sported last season by BBC Ski Sunday presenters Graham Bell and Ed Leigh, gave duelling competitors immediate speed, height and distance scores as well as extensive navigational capacity, making it the ideal companion for going off-piste, battling the black run or earning their stripes in Garmin Snow Club.

Back at the chalet, they uploaded their day’s tracklogs and statistics to our leaderboard in a bid to bag a week’s winter holiday back on the slopes next season.

The five-month-long season saw competitors log over 10,000 Alpine miles, every single one of them travelled and tracked with Garmin GPS.

Jonathan Brothers has been crowned the ultimate Snow Club King of the Slopes, after clocking an impressive 75.1mph on his winter break at More Mountain Chalets in Morzine.

Andy Fisher climbed a staggering 10,585m on Courcheval to take the silver…

While Ben Lakin left no snowflake unturned, covering a massive 45.07 miles of Morzine mountain range.

Snow Club will storm the slopes again next season, as a new flurry of Test Centre visitors square up to smash our winners’ scores and take on the Alps once more with Garmin Foretrex 401.
