Millar and Wiggins take 5th and 6th in Annecy TT

Stage 18 of the 2009 Tour de France has seen 158 riders battle it out along the shores of the Annecy Lake for the last Time Trial of the race.

Team Garmin's Bradley Wiggins got off to a flying start, setting fast times and pushing himself to the limit until he succumbed to cramp with just 5km to go - forcing him to give up hopes of a top place on today's standings.

It was left to team mate and fellow Brit David Millar to take 5th place and join the ranks of Contador and Cancellara in the top 5.

Everything to play for in the last stages as tomorrow brings Stage 19 Bourgoin to Aubenas.
