Farrar takes second at 11th stage of Giro d’Italia
A fast paced day at the Italian Giro, saw all the usual suspects battling for the win.
Lance Armstrong showed strength at the Turchino, but the real competition of the day was between Garmin Slipstream's own Tyler Farrar and Columbia's Mark Cavendish. With Farrar overtaking Allan Davis, who scored an eventual 4th place, he continued to gather pace and was hot on the wheels of Cavendish, narrowly missing a win.
Thursday's stage is the individual time trial from Sestri Levante to Riomaggiore. The 61km trial includes steep climbs and rolling descents.
