Garmin Appoints John Danby into Marine Sales Team
Garmin is pleased to announce a new appointment to its Marine Sales Team; John Danby joins as Marine Area Sales Executive for the East of England. John will be involved with all aspects of marine sales, responsible for Technical and OEM sales as well as working closely with Garmin’s retailer base to drive sales through chandleries.
John will be joining a small but perfectly formed Marine sales team; Nick Meadow’s unrivalled technical understanding along with the hugely experienced Matthew Palmer and Julie Benford covering Scotland and Ireland respectively.
John has worked in the marine industry for 12 years in various positions including Skippering of luxury cruising yachts such as Oyster’s and Swan’s before returning to his routes to run race campaigns. Latterly John was involved with the set up and development of the brokerage findaboat.co.uk.
John said, “I am delighted to be joining Garmin at this exciting time in the company’s development, they have a great line up of new products coming to market which I am sure will be greatly received by all sectors within the industry.”
