Garmin® electronics now exclusively onboard the Greenline 40

Garmin, the global leader in satellite navigation, is excited to announce an important electronics partnership with Greenline Hybrid, a Slovenian boat maker and part of the Seaway group.

Greenline has exclusively selected Garmin on the Greenline Hybrid 40, one of their brand new models.  The Greenline 40 Hybrid was designed as a larger yacht to its sister, the 33 Hybrid, but with the same philosophy of encompassing great ease of handling, and unmatched safety and seaworthiness. The interior provides you with the comfort of your own home with long lasting well-being on-board, paired with intuitive Garmin electronics.

Garmin electronics on board will fall within three levels of installation starting at the basic level with a GMITM 10 with NMEA 2000®; a standard plus level, which will include the DAME nominated GPSMAP® 720 and GHPTM 10 Auto Pilot ; and an advanced level which has the GPSMAP 4012 chartplotter with GHP10 Auto Pilot.
Nigel Craine, Garmin’s European Marine OEM Sales Manager said, “The new Greenline Hybrid 40 offers numerous exciting developments providing a cost-effective and environmentally friendly option to the motor cruiser whilst not compromising on comfort.  We are proud to have been selected as part of this development”.Greenline with Garmin Radar

Japec Jakopin, Seaway and Greenline founder said, “Greenline Hybrid (diesel/electric and solar) boats  changed the world of powerboating by their ability  to sail without noise, exhaust or waves, and protect the environment by  drastically reducing consumption of fossil fuel. Greenline 33 Hybrid was the world’s best selling boat of 10m or more in 2010 and received numerous awards worldwide. We are extremely pleased to be able to improve the comfort, safety and simplicity of use of our boats by intuitive, easy to operate Garmin electronics”.

This partnership symbolises a new wave of OEMs switching to the fully integrated electronics Garmin has to offer. Garmin continues to evolve their technologies and engineering to make sure others can benefit in the same way.
