Run 10k team readying themselves for Bournemouth

10k_run_08_002This weekend sees the Garmin Run 10k team heading over to the seafront at Bournemouth to participate in the Garmin sponsored Cancer Research Run 10k series. The 11 strong team of runners are ready to see the fruits of the hard training in a setting you could only describe as stunning.

With a multitude of devices in use from the Forerunner 50, 305 to the all new 405, the team have been swapping training stories around the office using the fantastic Garmin Connect. The closer we get to the big day the less use of ‘Fun Run’ and the greater use of the term ‘Race’ has been clearly apparent.

Check out a couple of the expected front runners logs below.

Ben Sisson – 10 km – 43 mins – using Forerunner 50

Mark Timms – 14.65km – 1 hr 14 mins – using Forerunner 405

The pivotal tools for motivation in the teams training has been the brilliant virtual coach section of the Garmin website alongside the ever increasing sponsorship received from friends, colleagues and family. If you’re in the area why not pop down to the seafront to cheer the team on and visit the Garmin trailer for information on the range of fitness products available.
