A Behind-the-scenes Look at the Making of Lily, Garmin’s Newest and Smallest Smartwatch
Featuring a beautifully patterned lens and a 34 mm watch case, Lily was designed with fashion-conscious women in mind.
There’s a lot to be said about our small, stylish smartwatch — and the most obvious of all is that it doesn’t look like a smartwatch. From the very start, Lily™ was tailor-made to look like a classic accessory but function as a modern wearable. After analysing future fashion and wellness trends and listening to female focus groups around the world, Garmin’s industrial designers delivered an elegant, jewelry-like timepiece that still packs a punch with industry-leading health and wellness monitoring, smart notifications* and more.
But you don’t have to take our word for it — click the video below to hear from the design, product and marketing teams at Garmin about what went into the making of Lily, from pattern swatches to the hardware that holds it all together.
Designed for women by women, Lily’s watch case and band were created to fit even the smallest of wrists while remaining a statement piece. Each Lily™ watch — there are six total — has a unique patterned lens that gives way to a bright, easily readable touchscreen display. The patterns are intentionally subtle, so they complement your wardrobe without competing with it. For Lily’s three classic models, the Italian leather band harmonises with the simple, vintage-inspired lens patterns, while our sport models have more calming, organic patterns that match the tones of their silicone bands.
If Lily feels different from our usual smartwatches, it’s because it is. Never again do you have to choose between a stylish accessory and a tech-packed smartwatch — with Lily, you really can have it all.
