So even though we are only just past half way in the Dorset Road Race League 2010, the men's team result has already been decided with Bournemouth AC dominating!

Seven out of seven wins is an impressive way to start the season and with a "seven best races" to score policy, the team has wrapped up the league. BAC has gone from strength to strength since picking up the 4th team place in the London Marathon with the recent Portland 10 league race showing the club's dominance in the local area.

Bournemouth AC club runners took six out of the top seven places including a "lock out" of the podium. Furthermore, an impressive performance from our ladies team saw their first win in the Division 2 league, lets hope its the start of a strong second half to the season!

Check out how one of the ladies team, Cherry Sheffrin, tackled the Portland course with her Garmin Forerunner 405 GPS sportswatch.

With the luxury of having already won the league, the BAC boys are now looking to target races outside of the county, so keep an eye out for a strong showing at the Bristol Half Marathon later this year as we aim for a strong team finish in the big city half, just as we did in Bath.

Bournemouth Athletic Club
is a pioneer of Garmin's Run Club training academy. Providing training and competition at all levels in track and field, cross-country and road running, Bournemouth AC challenges its members to log their training sessions with their Garmin Forerunner sports watches and save, store and share their data on Garmin Connect. Members can then see where they rank in the club, track their improvement and compete against each other.
