Charley Boorman rides with Garmin

Adventurer and motorbike fanatic Charley Boorman, of Long Way Down fame, has praised his Garmin zūmo sat nav for getting him around Africa.

He rode from Cape Town to Victoria Falls on some exceptionally long roads and rough terrain. But with the challenging conditions came some of the world’s most amazing scenery.

During the trip he described his Garmin as ‘awesome’ and that it made the trip ‘so much easier’.

Charley was joined by comedy star Ross Noble and about 30 other riders on the adventure.

He’s back on our television sets from 28 November, appearing in Extreme Frontiers on Channel 5.
