RoadTour Heritage works with selected models from the Garmin nuvi, zumo and Streetpilot ranges to describe and display images of 600 key historic attractions including castles, stately homes and battlefields.

For just £19.99 you can invite some culture into your car, with 90-second descriptions of key heritage events and attractions automatically triggered by satellite prompts as you approach a location.

The launch of RoadTour Heritage coincides with research from YouGov which reveals that one in ten people think that the Romans built the A1 motorway while a quarter of those surveyed believe Leeds Castle is in Yorkshire, not Kent.
