Garmin® 920XT Forerunner wins Innovative Product of the Year Award
For the second year running, Garmin has won the coveted ‘Innovative Product of the Year’ award, this year for the Garmin Forerunner 920XT, at the recent 220 Triathlon Awards. 220 Triathlon is one of the UK’s leading triathlon magazines and all the award winners were voted for by its readers, with thousands of votes cast.
The annual ceremony for the 220 Triathlon Magazine Awards, now in their seventh year, was held on March 1st at Sandown Park racecourse in Surrey, where the Triathlon Show was also being held. There were twenty categories in all, covering triathlon’s brightest athletes, brands and races from the past year and hero cyclist Graeme ‘The Flying Scotsman’ Obree as guest speaker.
“The readers of 220 were asked what made them go 'wow' and what gear propelled them to new heights and they chose the Garmin Forerunner 920XT. We’re delighted to win this award, particularly as it’s voted for by the readers of 220 Magazine, which is a great accolade and recognition from the triathlon community.” said Dawn Ramsay, UK General Manager, Garmin.
Richard Daish, Senior Marketing Executive, for the Fitness category, collected the award on behalf of Garmin at the ceremony where Jodie Stimpson also took the award for Women’s Elite Triathlete of the year and Alistair Brownlee picked up the prize for Men’s Elite Triathlete of the Year.
