Garmin and Flexiski partner up to offer a fantastic ski holiday with GPS on the slopes

Tailor-made ski specialist Flexiski is delighted to have formed a partnership for the 2011–12 ski season with Garmin – the global leader in satellite navigation.

All Flexiski’s Ski Event Managers will be equipped with Garmin Forerunner 310XT GPS multisport watches, enabling them to track their guests’ performance on the mountain and share the excellent post-activity analysis using Garmin Connect.

Delivered as part of Flexiski’s ski event management service available in St Anton, Val d’Isère and Courchevel, guests on hosted ski days will be able to track their maximum speed, distance travelled and total vertical descent. The Garmin interactive web support also allows users to record their data online and even track this against other skiers enjoying mountain sports.

Pete Hillyard, New Business and Operations Manager at Flexiski, said: “We are thrilled to be entering into this new partnership with such a respected brand. We believe this will add incredible value to our ski event management service and it represents a fantastic addition to our clients’ mountain experience.”

Charlotte Bishop, Marketing and PR Executive at Garmin, adds: “We are so glad Flexiski approached us with an opportunity to use our kit on the slopes. The 310XT is perfect for running, skiing and triathlon, as well as providing that all-important performance data on the slopes.”

To celebrate their new partnership, Flexiski and Garmin are hosting an exclusive competition to win a ski break for two to Courchevel 1850 plus a Garmin 310XT GPS multisport watch. The competition will run from 7—21 December 2011. For more details visit www.flexiski.com and for information about Garmin visit garmin.co.uk.
