Garmin Guides Dogs

The first race of the mushing season kicked off in the Forest of Dean last weekend, with over 100 dogs competing in 7 classes across a three mile rugged course.  Garmin’s sponsored Husky musher, Shaun Thompson competed against 13 other teams to take fourth place in his class, which is strictly for Siberian Huskies.

Shaun uses a Garmin Etrex to help him keep to his path during the race, to provide him with information about his course and help him train his Huskies – all vital elements in competing against the other dog teams.  The ABSA championship, the next race in the season, takes place in the New Forest on the 15th November.
