Garmin receives Special Mention at METS

We entered our GPSMAP 720 into this year’s DAME award and were delighted to receive a special mention at the Marine Electronic Trade Show in Amsterdam.

  
The 7 inch colour chart plotter was selected from 132 entries from 19 countries, and then went through to join 62 others in the 2nd round of judging. The Jury took into account design, styling, and quality of construction, overall impact on marine industry, suitability for intended purpose, level of innovation, cost effectiveness and favorable environmental impact.

Products like the GPSMAP 720  that just missed out on a win received an honorable special mention. The lucky overall winner for DAME 2011 was the Selden reversible winch. This Selden reversible winch and the GPSMAP 720 will be on display with all shortlisted products in a special DAME presentation located in RAI Ellcium – Well done GPSMAP 720!
