Garmin® win onboard marine electronics deal with Broom Boats
Garmin, the global leader in satellite navigation is excited to announce that, from January 2011, Broom Boats will be fitting Garmin as its standard marine electronics products package. Broom Boats have been known for building top quality Aft Cabin Motor Cruisers with excellent sea-keeping properties for over 110 years.
Broom boats have seen through the tests of time over their long history, the most recent being a change of ownership. The new owners are now moving forward with the modernisation of the brand and Garmin is seen as the ideal electronics provider to help take their brand forward.
Nick Meadow, UK OEM Technical Sales Executive said “We are extremely pleased to have been selected by this iconic British brand as a part of their new re-designed offering to the discerning motor yacht owner. We look forward to working with Broom Boats on future projects as our partnership moves forward”.
Garmin will be standard fit across the Broom range, which will include Garmin chartplotters, instruments and VHF on the majority of boats plus the GHPTM 10 autopilot on the Broom 50/53. Garmin have been working with Broom to ensure their full range of marine electronics will be available for customers who want to add extra equipment to the standard fit.
Mark Garner, Broom’s Managing Director said “We are now working on new boat designs with a redesign of the Broom 365, Broom 450 and then the Broom 50. These are just the first steps in taking the company forward using the most up-to-date technology including the best marine electronics from Garmin, renowned for its quality and reliability.”
