Live Garmin sat nav wins Which? ‘Best Buy’ Award
Garmin’s Live sat nav, the nüLink™ 2390, has won a Best Buy award from the respected consumer magazine Which?
This top-of-the-range in-car navigator features Garmin’s new 3D Traffic Live
which uses an impressive 80 million data sources to see what’s happening on the roads and predict where congestion may be encountered along your journey. Being a live product makes it right up-to-date: route information is checked every 30 seconds and updated every 2 minutes.
Another innovative feature is PhotoLiveTM which enables you to see the latest views from live traffic cameras on all motorways in England1. It means you can see for yourself via the sat nav screen if there is traffic ahead.
In its review of the nüLink 2390, Which? writes: “3D Traffic works well on the 2390, showing roads with congestion in your area clearly, and offering an alternative route when a quicker one exists.”
The magazine also tested other Live services on the nüLink 2390 including Google Local Search, enabling you to find details of services and get directions straight to them, as well as Fuel Prices to help you find the nearest and cheapest place to buy petrol. The sat nav was given 5/5 stars for ‘Useful Features’ – a category based on an examination of the usefulness of all the sat nav’s features.
The nüLink 2390 sat nav has:
• Live content such as 3D Traffic, Speedwatch safety cameras, weather and more2. Plus options to download additional applications via the nüLink! store.
• PhotoLive traffic cameras to see congestion up ahead (free 30-day trial followed by optional monthly subscription).
• Hands-free operation: voice-activated (ASR) for spoken navigation instructions and hands-free phone calls via Bluetooth®3.
• Garmin’s exclusive PhotoReal™ Junction View and Lane Assist help you navigate tricky exits and complex motorway junctions.
• Preloaded street-level mapping for the UK, Ireland and all Europe (45 countries).
In summary, Which? concluded: “The 2390 is an excellent sat nav and worthy of our Best Buy accolade. In PhotoLive, it also has an innovative feature.”
The Garmin nüLink 2390 has an RRP of £229.99 and is widely available in store or online. Live services are free for one year2, with further years subject to subscription.
