Matt’s Musings – North of the Border Part II

Good day all,

Just made my way across the mighty Forth Bridge.

Once upon a time they began painting the Forth Bridge - when they had got to the end, the first part of the paint had began to erode and so they started again from the beginning, this continued for many years in a pattern.

Now they have been using a special white paint that lasts for 30 years.

Once upon a time satellite navigation was reserved only for the military and very rich.

Now, 20 years later, Garmin satellite navigation is available to all, even our fitness watches are GPS-enabled – that's progress!

Two little known facts for you to ponder.
