Meet our latest marine electronics at METS 2009

Garmin’s marine team has landed in the Netherlands for the Marine Electronics Trade Show 2009. The final preparations are underway for tomorrow’s grand opening and the launch of our latest marine technology.

The GPSMAP 6000 and 7000 touchscreen multi-function display units are class-leading chartplotters with the fastest redraw, pan and zoom speeds on the market thanks to Garmin G Motion chart-drawing technology and dual processors. 

We’re also showcasing the AIS 600 transponder for leisure and light commercial boats, which automatically transmits your position, speed and heading while tracking the progress of nearby vessels.

And our new range of NMEA 2000 adapters will convert your sensors’ standard analogue signal to NMEA for instant access to rudder angle, trim tab settings and fuel tank status information – no wires required!

Our popular GPSMAP 620 hybrid chartplotter/navigator is a finalist in the DAME Awards Marine Electronics category. The results are in tomorrow – watch this space!
