Middlesbrough kick off the season in style

  Saturday saw the Premier League kick off for the 2008/9 season, and Middlesbrough flew out of the blocks with a 2-1 home win against Tottenham Hotspur.

Goals from last year’s Fans player of the year David Wheater and former Spurs striker Mido saw Boro take the spoils in a positive start to the new season. With 33,000 in attendance to watch the opener , the hard work in preseason has paid off for Gareth Southgate and his coaching staff.
