National Trust and Garmin team up again for more family fun this summer
18 June, 2012
This summer, Garmin continues its partnership with the National Trust to bring Geocaching to the masses.
Over 80 National Trust places across the country (listed below) will be offering visitors the opportunity to
borrow Garmin GPS handheld devices and turn their days out into real adventures.
Visitors can use the Garmin units to discover treasure ‘caches’ hidden across National Trust coast and
countryside venues. These modern-day treasure-hunts are a fun way for visitors to get out and really
experience the outdoors with the National Trust.
There are great advantages to getting involved too:
-When you purchase a new Garmin device, register on MyGarmin.com, tick the box to say you wish to
receive communications and as a thank you, you will receive a free one-day family pass to a National Trust
venue of your choice (terms and conditions apply).
-Vistors borrowing a Garmin GPS unit at a National Trust site will receive £10 cashback when purchasing
a Garmin eTrex 10 Geocaching bundle.
The partnership between the National Trust and Garmin is part of the Trust's vision to encourage more people
to enjoy the outdoors. Over the forthcoming months, Garmin will be hosting taster sessions at National Trust
places so visitors from across England, Wales and Northern Ireland can become 21st-century treasure
hunters.
With more than 250,000 hectares of countryside and 710 miles of coastline across England, Wales and
Northern Ireland there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors with the National Trust. Find out
