Nigel Munro joins Garmin Asus Mobile platform
Garmin, the global leader in satellite navigation*, is pleased to announce a new member of the mobile sales team, Nigel Munro.
Nigel joined Garmin in July from Trafficmaster Plc where his key responsibility was to launch the Trafficmaster Smartnav Mobile off board navigation solution into the Mobile Phone arena. He worked closely with Network operators and Handset manufacturers as well as various Mobile Phone distribution partners.
Nigel has worked in the Mobile Phone and Navigation Industry for more than 10 years. The early days were very heavily involved in the PND market with multiple retailers, distribution partners and OEM partners. As time has gone on and technology developed his roles have combined PND Navigation into a Mobile Phone Handset and more recently involved the mobile phone device area with navigation solutions bundled or pre loaded.
Nigel Munro, UK consumer sales manager says “I believe I can bring a substantial amount of knowledge of the Mobile Phone industry to Garmin to help Garmin Asus become a great success and market leader within a very competitive market place”.
