nüvi to the rescue

Vintage car enthusiast Stuart Hughes completed the latest Beaujolais Run in unusual style.  Having spent countless weekends restoring and perfecting his 1953 Jaguar XK 120, Stuart decided he would put his vehicle to the test on the world famous Hackett Beaujolais Run.

After pawing over maps and deciding that he needed a little extra help on making his journey more efficient, Stuart contacted Garmin for help in navigating the fastest route to pick up the first release of Beaujolais for 2008.

Garmin provided the use of a nüvi 760 and Stuart set off on his journey. All was going well with Stuart’s trip until he hit the centre of Paris and his engine began overheating.

“I was in evening rush hour and the heat became a major problem. The Garmin nuvi 760 came to the rescue as it directed me to the nearest garage and  even gave me the number of the British Embassy. I managed to find my way quickly and get assistance, all thanks to the Garmin.”

Stuart went on to complete his Beaujolais Run and Team Garmin have since been enjoying the fruits of his labour- thanks Stuart!
