Flash and Sonic get off to a cracking start in the touring cars

Garmin are proud to sponsor the Halfords’ British Touring Car team and the 2006 champions are off to a great start to the new HiQ MSA British Touring Car Championship 2008 season. 

Team Halfords’ driver Gordon ‘Flash’ Shedden secured a podium finish for the opening rounds at Brands Hatch on Sunday the 30th March, whilst Tom ‘Sonic’ Chilton also acquitted himself well meaning that the team lies fourth in the rankings.  Both Team Halfords’ drivers are placed in the top ten in the championship standings.

Team Halford’s Manager Oly Collins says the target for 2008 is “to simply be faster and tougher, where reliability and consistency will be as important as outright pace”… so not that too different to the Garmin nüvi range of automotive GPS navigation devices!
