Garmin STEM Outreach Celebrates Prolific Year
Garmin STEM Outreach, which supports educational events and learning opportunities for students in pre-K through 12th grade in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), recently announced its results from the 2018-2019 academic year. In all, 219 Garmin associates volunteered a total of 2,722 hours at 195 events.
Through perennial events such as FIRST Robotics and Women of Aviation Week as well as new workshops, including the Educators Summit and the Engineering Day Camp, Garmin reached 7,745 students, engaging them in STEM ideas and hoping to inspire them to become STEM professionals.
