Six Garmin Avionics Solutions That Can Be Delivered Straight to Your Door

Have you been thinking about an avionics upgrade but worry it might lead to too much downtime? Maybe you’d prefer to time the upgrade with your next annual, or perhaps you need to upgrade now due to equipment failure? We understand there are a lot of factors that weigh the decision to upgrade. That’s why we offer a full lineup of elite avionics solutions to get you flying in no time — with technology you’ve never had before.

While going to a Garmin-authorized dealer that is a Part 145 Repair Station for your avionics installation is preferred by many, others want a simple path to executing a modern update for their panel.

For customers like these, we offer a wide variety of GPS, radio, instrument and engine indication system solutions that can be purchased from any local or online Garmin retail dealer. You then can take these products to your avionics-savvy A&P and have them install it, whether during an annual inspection or when convenient during your off-season flying months. Read on to learn what Garmin has to offer you with your next upgrade.

1. GPS Navigators

Is your GPS, NAV, COMM — or all three — ready to be replaced? Our GPS navigators can be installed as stand-alone solutions or combined to give you the latest technology, elevating your flying experience by giving you a fully capable IFR WAAS GPS, which includes a high-resolution moving map with terrain information. Fun fact: It even has built-in BLUETOOTH® connectivity with the Connext® app. Choose the GNX™ 375 or pair the other two variants with an existing GTX™ 345 transponder to get traffic and weather on the display.

2. Radios

Pairing perfectly with our GPS navigators are our slimline radios — the GTR™ 205 COMM and GNC® 215 NAV/COMM. These 1.35” bezel height radios fit just about anywhere and offer an internal frequency database available worldwide. Even better? Pair with one of the navigators above, and you’ll see the tuned frequency’s identifier and type (e.g., KOSH TWR).

3. Instruments

Replace your aging vacuum system with two G5 electronic flight instruments and discover what you’ve been missing all along. By combining a G5 to serve as your attitude indicator and another as your HSI (and assuming you have no other equipment installed on your aircraft that requires a vacuum system), you can remove your vacuum system and fly away with a digital, solid-state EFIS solution you can rely on.

Also available to A&P installers is the GI 275 base model, which can be installed as a course deviation indicator (CDI) or MFD. This gives you a CDI, plus a moving map, traffic and weather1, and more. And if you’re getting a GI 275, add a GSB™ 15 USB charger to your cart as well. Not only do these small but mighty USB ports offer up to 27 watts of charging capability, they also can be used to transfer databases to GI 275 instruments.

4. Engine Indication System (EIS)

Did you know that a GI 275 can be configured as a fully primary EIS? Remove all your existing engine gauges for one simple, easy-to-read GI 275 display and get EGT/CHT monitoring, lean assist (rich or lean of peak capable), fuel computer, exceedance alerts, flight data and automatic data logging that can be wirelessly streamed to your mobile device. The data is automatically stored in flyGarmin.com® for future reference. Can your analog instruments do that?

5. Audio Panels

Update your audio panel and get home theater-quality sound right in your cockpit. Both the GMA™ 342 and GMA 345 offer 3D audio processing to help you differentiate sound inputs in your headset. It can be installed as slide-in replacements for GMA 340 and select third-party audio panels. Prefer a simple audio panel solution? Choose GMA 342. Looking for BLUETOOTH for easy access to phone calls and audio entertainment? GMA 345 is your answer.

6. Transponders

Needing ADS-B compliance but nothing more? The GTX 335 can be a simple path to access ADS-B airspace.

Whether you’re looking for a simple solution to change an old piece of equipment for something more functional, or if you want to retain your existing panel but make several upgrades at your next annual, Garmin has a solution for you.

And for extra peace of mind, if you choose Garmin avionics, you or your installer will have access to our award-winning product support team. It doesn’t get much better than that.
