Keep Your Data in Sync with Updated TrueUp
TrueUp lets you switch between compatible devices* and keeps your data in sync. Garmin Connect acts as a messenger between your devices, making sure you get the most up-to-date readings.
With this month’s update, you’ll be able to sync your VO2 max, recovery time, training status and training load data among devices along with your activities. After you receive the software update, you’ll be asked to enable the feature. Just turn it on and sync your device with Garmin Connect to complete the process.
Calculating Your VO2 Max
If you use more than one TrueUp-capable Garmin device, you don’t have to worry about getting different VO2 max values. Your devices will now talk to each other through Garmin Connect and keep your fitness level up to date.
Running and Cycling Data
If you are a runner and a cyclist, you probably have different VO2 max estimates for your running and cycling activities, but don’t worry. This update will keep those numbers separate, so one won’t cancel out the other.
Training-status-capable devices will incorporate both your running and cycling training status numbers and your training load from both devices, so you’ll know how hard you’re working overall.
Get Your Last 30 Days of Data
This update also syncs your last 30 days of training history from Garmin Connect to bring your training status and training load estimates up to date, so you won’t have to start from scratch with a new device.
If you’ve been using your tried and true Garmin device for a while, you’ve built up an awesome VO2 max number. But if you get a new compatible device*, the default VO2 max is a lot lower. TrueUp will send your latest recorded VO2 max to the new device, so you don’t have to build up that number again.
Collecting Data from Devices that Aren’t Compatible
Even if one of your devices doesn’t support this update, the activities you record on it will be sent to your compatible devices* through Garmin Connect, so your VO2 max, training status and training load numbers stay up to date.
