NMEA 2024 Manufacturer of the Year and Product of Excellence Awards

What does this honor mean to Garmin? For starters, it’s the highest honor in the marine electronics industry for excellence in both product service and support, and no other company has pulled off this many consecutive wins.

“These awards are a testament to the dedication of the entire Garmin team to provide our customers and dealers with top-quality products and exceptional service and support,” Garmin Vice President of Global Consumer Sales Dan Bartel said in the press release announcing the honor. “We are very proud to be a part of the NMEA organization and look forward to continuing to advance the marine industry together for many more decades to come.”

In addition to capturing the top National Marine Electronics Association honor, Garmin earned an impressive six NMEA Product of Excellence awards, including:

Most Innovative Marine Company from Soundings Trade Only

In 2023, Soundings Trade Only, a leading trade publication for the recreational boating industry, named Garmin the Most Innovative Marine Company, and we’re proud to say that 2024 was no different. Garmin claimed its second straight Most Innovative Marine Company honor for its excellence in areas such as new product development, technology advancements, sustainability, corporate responsibility and more.

The honor further positions Garmin as one of the most forward-thinking companies on the water. Not to mention it was the sixth consecutive year Garmin was recognized within the top 10.

“Whether it’s creating innovative new products, culturing a vibrant workplace for its employees or donating time and effort to charitable causes, Garmin deserves this very important recognition,” Soundings Trade OnlyEditor-in-Chief Gary Reich said. National Boating Industry Safety Award

At Garmin, we continue to prioritize the importance of boating safety. Through strategic marketing campaigns, including media relations, a blog post and social media posts, Garmin is committed to encouraging boaters to always practice boating safety.

Thanks to those efforts, Garmin increased its streak to four consecutive years of earning top honors in the National Boating Industry Safety Awards’ Gear and Equipment Manufacturer category. Presented by the Sea Tow Foundation, this honor recognized Garmin for its promotion of boating safety in conjunction with National Safe Boating Week 2024.

“Their innovative campaigns and dedication to safety have made a profound impact, contributing to a safer boating experience for all, not just this year, but as a repeat winner of the National Boating Safety Awards for their efforts in promoting safe boating across the industry for four straight years,” said Sea Tow Foundation Executive Director Gail R.
