Garmin Winter Athletes Take the Podium at X-Games
This past weekend marked the 2017 Winter X-Games in Aspen, Colorado. After all the powder settled, two Garmin athletes stood on the podium, amongst the world’s best winter athletes. Year after year the X-Games produces some of the best winter sports action on the planet and this year it didn’t disappoint.
Henrik Harlaut
Returning to the event after winning a Gold in slopestyle at X-games Oslo, Henrik Harlaut continued his medal streak by taking 2nd this year in Aspen’s Big Air. The Swedish freestyle skier landed an insane triple cork 1620 safety to clinch his silver medal.
Oystein Braaten
After taking bronze last year, the 21 year-old Norwegian freestyle skier came back to Aspen with a vengeance for X-games 2017. The competition was tough as always, but Oystein landed a triple cork 1440 on his final jump, which locked down the gold medal in slopestyle.
Taking the podium at X-Games is a huge accomplishment for these guys and we couldn’t be more proud to have them on our team. Oystein and Henrik take their VIRB Ultra 30’s everywhere, and we always look forward to their footage.
