Garmin® announces SHIMANO STEPS support on Edge® cycling computers to help enhance the eBike riding experience

Garmin International, Inc., a unit of Garmin Ltd., today announced support for SHIMANO STEPS eBike drive systems to help enhance the riding experience for cyclists – whether commuting to work, riding with friends or tackling those challenging trails. Available on compatible Garmin Edge cycling computers1, cyclists can view information from SHIMANO STEPS E6100 and E7000 directly on their Edge screen.

When users pair an Edge cycling computer to a supported SHIMANO STEPS, they will receive a dedicated eBike status screen, data fields and support for system status and warning messages. While out for a ride, cyclists can also view their assist level, gear position, battery life and remaining range in addition to standard Edge metrics like time, distance and speed.

For decades, Garmin has pioneered new GPS navigation and wireless devices and applications that are designed for people who live an active lifestyle.
