Garmin® Announces RV 760LMT, a New Navigator Made for the RV Lifestyle

Garmin^® International Inc., a unit of Garmin Ltd. (NASDAQ:
GRMN), the global leader in satellite navigation, today announced the RV
760LMT, its first navigator created just for the RV lifestyle. The
7-inch GPS device is packed with signature Garmin navigation features as
well as RV-friendly functions to guide RV drivers with confidence.
Preloaded with detailed maps, the RV 760LMT creates custom routes based
on the size and weight of an RV¹. It is the only navigation
device that features America’s RV Parks & Services Directory, making it
easy to find repairs, RV parks and campgrounds. Navigation features
include voice-activated navigation, Garmin
Real Directions™, free lifetime traffic² as well as Active
Lane Guidance with voice prompts. To make sure RV drivers have
access to the latest weather and other real-time trip information, Garmin
Smartphone Link provides access to live services³.
Completing the package, the free BaseCamp™
software allows users to plan trips ahead of time and transfer them to
the RV 760LMT for directions.

RV-Friendly Features

RV 760LMT is preloaded with detailed maps for the U.S. and Canada that
also include RV-related restrictions, such as bridge heights, and
related information for most major roads and highways. Users just enter
their vehicle profile information (customizable by height, weight,
length and width) to find routes suitable for their RV.

America’s RV Parks & Services Directory provides comprehensive
information on RV parks and campgrounds. This directory contains nearly
20,000 sites in the United States and Canada, including national and
state parks as well as privately owned campgrounds. America’s RV Parks &
Services Directory lets users search by 20 amenities – such as pet
friendly, onsite laundry, internet access, and electric hookups. It also
includes more than 14,000 service locations, including towing, tire
shops, truck stops and repairs.

To make it easier to find places while on the road, Up Ahead provides a
constant stream of nearby places – including restaurants, rest areas,
hospitals and fuel stations – that appears alongside the driving map and
updates as the driver moves along.

Premium Garmin Navigation

RV 760LMT redefines “spoken turn-by-turn directions” with Garmin Real
Directions, easy-to-understand driving directions that guide like a
friend, using recognizable landmarks, buildings and traffic lights. No
more stress from trying to read street names. Garmin Real Voice™ is
refined speech technology that sounds more like a natural, friendly
voice. Garmin Real Directions and Garmin Real Voice are features that
are only available in Garmin GPS navigators. RV 760LMT also offers the
convenience of voice-activated navigation. Users simply speak and the
device responds to the commands.

The Active Lane Guidance feature uses a combination of voice prompts and
visual cues to prepare users to drive through an exit or interchange
with confidence. Active Lane Guidance displays an animated graphic next
to the map view that uses brightly colored arrows to indicate the proper
lane needed to make a turn. photoReal junction view realistically
displays junctions and interchanges, including the surrounding landscape
and road signs along the route. RV 760LMT also displays speed limit,
current speed and accurate time of arrival.

With the included combination power cable/traffic receiver, the RV
760LMT offers free traffic information, helping to avoid traffic jams.

RV Trip Planning and Sharing

The free BaseCamp™ desktop software allows users to plan their RV trips
ahead of time. Users can create routes along specific roads and search
for points of interest, including local attractions, restaurants and
fuel stops. The pre-planned trip can be downloaded to the RV 760LMT for
a stress-free ride.

Garmin
Adventures, powered by BaseCamp, is a free, interactive way to share
trips with friends and family. Users can combine routes, waypoints,
geotagged photos, YouTube® videos and more into an adventure that can be
shared online. Garmin Adventures also allows users to rate their trips,
read reviews and download routes shared by fellow RVers.

Bluetooth® Hands-Free and Real-Time Weather

Users can sync a smartphone via Bluetooth for hands-free calling through
the integrated microphone and speaker of the RV 760LMT. The device is
also compatible with Smartphone Link, a free mobile app that connects
the navigator with an iPhone®
or Android™
smartphone to receive live services⁴. This includes current
weather and seven-day forecasts, among other features. The Advanced
Weather function also provides animated radar images on a map,
indicating types of precipitation such as rain, snow and ice, to help
drivers avoid bad driving conditions. Garmin Live Services are available
free and by subscription.

RV 760LMT includes free lifetime map updates⁵ for the useful
life of the device, so routes can reflect the most up-to-date maps,
points of interest, and America’s RV Parks & Services directory
information. Garmin
Express makes it easy to update maps and software, transfer
favorites to and from devices, and install free custom vehicles and
voices.

The Garmin RV 760LMT is expected to become available in summer 2013 and
has a suggested retail price of $399.99. For added safety and
convenience, a video input on RV 760LMT allows for wireless back up
camera connection (camera not included). A compatible Garmin
wireless backup camera⁶ is available as an accessory for
$149.99. When drivers put their RV in reverse, the backup camera shows a
live video feed on the RV 760LMT to see what is behind the vehicle.
