2024 Garmin Educators Summit brings local teachers together to focus on STEM
Summit enters its 5th year with thought-provoking sessions and activities centered around emerging trends in STEM
OLATHE, Kan./June 3, 2024 – Garmin (NYSE: GRMN) is excited to welcome Kansas City-based teachers to the 2024 Garmin Educators Summit. The summit, now in its 5th year, will take place from June 6-7, 2024 at Garmin U.S. headquarters in Olathe, Kansas.
Throughout the two-day summit, elementary and secondary education teachers will visit Garmin to discover new STEM-related tools and activities they can take back to their classrooms. Educators will attend sessions to learn about new trends in STEM, career opportunities in the tech industry and cutting-edge technologies—all led by Garmin engineers and product designers. Plus, during each day of the event, teachers who apply will be eligible to receive a Garmin Educator Grant.
Secondary educators attending the first day of the summit will learn about coding from Garmin software engineers. They will also tour engineering workspaces and the industrial design department and have a chance to sit in the pilot’s seat in the Garmin flight simulation lab.
Elementary educators will attend the second day of the summit where they will learn about fun and compelling activities to introduce engineering applications to their younger students. They will also attend several STEM-related panel discussions and receive a tour of the Garmin campus.
