“We will take the start reassured at Le Havre and keeping in mind our last two victories during the Rolex Fastnet Race and the Défi Azimut,” said Beyou.

A must-do for the IMOCA Globe Series calendar and an important step before the Vendée Globe 2020, the Transat Jacques Vabre will allow Jérémie and CHARAL to confront real-life conditions with some thirty boats and their skippers, always accompanied by the latest Garmin marine technologies on board.

“Having discovered the quatix during my Volvo Ocean race, I was seduced by its easy-to-use technology and its connectivity. Since then, I wear it during regattas but also on land to keep track during my physical preparation. My Garmin stays with me everywhere I go. Team Beyou Racing has been using Garmin marine products many years. We have already equipped our RIB fleet so I am very familiar with Garmin advantages and constant technological progress,” Beyou added.

The team will be at the start of the Transat Jacques Vabre with Garmin technology onboard CHARAL, including the GMR Fantom™ 18 radar, GPSMAP® 722 chartplotter, AIS™ 800 transceiver, VHF 315i marine radio and the inReach® Mini satellite communicator. The skipper will also be equipped with the new MARQ® Captain tool watch that offers innovative features that can make all the difference during a race, such as the virtual start line, the time left before the start and the boat data.
