Garmin® and FUSION® redefine RV entertainment and navigation control with the introduction of the RV 701 navigator and remote
OLATHE, Kan./June 5, 2019 – Garmin International, Inc. today announced the versatile RV 701 navigator and remote for recreational vehicle (RV) owners. The new RV 701 offers world-renowned navigation from Garmin while also providing users with remote functionality, digital switching capabilities, and control for the entire RV ecosystem. The navigator’s built-in Wi-Fi® allows the device to connect to the FUSION-Link™ audio system as well as the EmpirBus™ digital switching infotainment platform, to facilitate functionality control over the entire RV network. In addition to bringing ease of control to recreational vehicle drivers, the RV 701 can also integrate a variety of compatible FUSION stereo systems as well as wireless backup cameras designed by Garmin for the ultimate RV system integration experience.

The RV 701 also functions as a stand-alone GPS device that provides camping enthusiasts with a premium feature-set that can customize RV routing1 based on the size and weight of the RV or towable trailer. Users will also be guided by RV-specific driver alerts for dangerous curves, speed changes, rail road crossings, school zones, weight limits, bridge heights and much more. Additionally, campers can take advantage of the road-trip ready RV 701 with full access to preloaded points of interest (POIs) provided by the HISTORY® network database of notable sites, a U.S. national parks directory, preloaded and current TripAdvisor® ratings and millions of Foursquare POIs. Drivers will also be able to leverage Garmin Real directions™ on the navigator to help them focus on the road as the RV 701 easily provides instructions using recognizable landmarks, buildings, and traffic lights.
What’s more, customers can opt to download the free Garmin Drive app and wirelessly connect it with a compatible smartphone via Bluetooth® to receive smart notifications, live traffic, weather updates, road conditions, and more — directly delivered to the RV 701 navigator display screen.
