Garmin announces collaboration with Arctic Cat on snowmobile display

Arctic Cat G8 all-in-one display powered by Garmin takes winter adventures to another level with innovative solutions, including navigation, vehicle performance information and Group Ride Radio

OLATHE, Kan./July 24, 2024 – Garmin (NYSE: GRMN) today announced a collaboration with Arctic Cat® Inc., a Textron Inc. company and one of the most respected names in snowmobiles and powersports, to equip select 2025 snowmobile models with the Arctic Cat G8 display powered by Garmin. Using Garmin Tread® GPS technology, the Arctic Cat G8 is an innovative, all-in-one solution that combines cutting-edge navigation with advanced vehicle performance information as well as a Group Ride Radio feature to stay in touch with fellow snowmobilers.

The Arctic Cat G8 brings a plethora of innovative features to optimize every snowmobile adventure:

  • Vehicle performance information: User-customizable data fields including coolant temperature, fuel level, speedometer, odometer, RPMs and more show important info to the driver.
  • Trail maps: The Arctic Cat G8 ispre-loaded with snowmobile trail maps for areas within the U.S. and Canada that feature points of interest, such as restaurants, warming shelters, gas stations and camping grounds. Maps also include topography and private/public lands along with satellite imagery.
  • Group Ride Radio: Users can see, text and track up to 20 riders, even without cellular coverage1. When paired with a compatible Bluetooth® headset, snowmobilers can also communicate with other riders through 2-way voice.
  • Immediate information: A new status bar at the bottom of the screen offers quick navigation, active alerts, and key vehicle information.
  • Phone connectivity: When paired with a compatible mobile device, users can receive smart notifications, see live weather forecasts and radar, control media and enjoy additional Group Ride features2.

The Arctic Cat G8 is the latest collaboration between Garmin and Arctic Cat, who have worked together on display-related projects for snowmobiles and off-road vehicles with install kits dating back to 2021.
