Garmin Engineering Day Camp helps local high school students explore the world of STEM
Freshman and sophomore students will gain hands-on engineering experience to build a rover
OLATHE, Kan./July 10, 2024 – Garmin (NYSE: GRMN) is excited to host Kansas City-area high school students for the 2024 Garmin Engineering Day Camp. The camp will take place from July 15-19 at Garmin U.S. headquarters in Olathe, Kansas.
Over the course of the five-day camp, high school freshman and sophomore students will receive an introduction to engineering and gain valuable insights into STEM opportunities. They will also gain hands-on electrical, mechanical and software engineering experience by working with Garmin engineers to build a small mechanical robot or rover.
On the last day of camp, Friday, July 19, the students will participate in a rover competition to show their parents and invited guests what they have learned.
