Packages to include new GPSMAP ® 1242xsv Touch chartplotter combos
Garmin International, Inc., a unit of Garmin Ltd. (NASDAQ:GRMN), today
announced that Sea Hunt Boat Company, one of the top-selling saltwater
boat brands in the country, has selected Garmin to be an electronics
supplier to outfit its full line of center console boats ranging from
18-30 feet. Beginning immediately, Sea Hunt will offer its customers
several Garmin marine electronics packages, many of which include the
new GPSMAP 1242xsv Touch chartplotter/sonar all-in-one combo. Garmin and
Sea Hunt will be showcasing the GPSMAP 1242 Touch series for the first
time at the Miami International Boat Show this week, Feb. 15-19, in
booths C724 and B113 respectively.
“It’s an honor to join the Sea Hunt family,” said Dan Bartel, Garmin
vice president of global consumer sales. “From family boaters to
tournament anglers, we’re confident that Sea Hunt customers will
appreciate having Garmin electronics onboard thanks in part to the
industry-leading features, ease-of-use and superior quality and service
our products are known for.”
“Sea Hunt Boat Company is proud to welcome Garmin marine electronics to
the Sea Hunt family for our 2018 model year,” said Bubba Roof, Sea Hunt
Boat Company president. “We believe in giving our customers the best
available options and features in the industry, and Garmin provides the
perfect combination of leading technology and user friendliness that our
customers desire.”
Sea Hunt will be factory-installing electronics packages that offer
leading-edge technology customers can expect from Garmin, including the
new 12-inch GPSMAP 1242xsv Touch all-in-one touchscreen
chartplotter/combo. The GPSMAP 1242xsv Touch comes preloaded with
BlueChart® g2 charts and LakeVü HD maps and features built-in 1kW
traditional CHIRP sonar and CHIRP ClearVü and CHIRP SideVü scanning
sonar capability for a near-picture quality view of what’s beneath the
boat. It offers full networking capabilities, including radar, so
customers have the ability to build on to their system, starting with
the included VHF 110 marine radio with standard Class D Digital
Selective Calling (DSC) functionality that allows users to stay in
contact with the shore and other boats in their area. The GPSMAP 1242xsv
Touch also offers built-in Wi-Fi™ that enables the unit to pair with the

automatic delivery of the latest software available, off-vessel planning
capabilities, connected services and so much more.
