Four Benefits of a Full Fusion Audio System
Learn more about the benefits of riding the sound waves at sea with Fusion, a Garmin marine brand.
A day on the water can be satisfying in every sense. Not the least of which is sound — from the soft rocking at anchor to your favorite tunes on the stereo. And for the best audio out on the waves, we recommend a full Fusion® entertainment system. By choosing to use all Fusion products, you’ll gain the benefits of a fully integrated audio system that’s optimized to work together.
1. Superior Sound Quality
It’s at the top of our list — and probably yours. The key is Fusion DSP (digital signal processing). By using a full Fusion system, you unlock a powerful combination of meticulously engineered hardware and software. The result is premium audio, optimized for a marine environment — with superior quality at every volume level.
The other big benefit is Wi-Fi® streaming. Our Apollo™ Series1 is the world’s first marine stereo system equipped with this feature, and it blows BLUETOOTH® out of the water. The faster data transfer allows for a much higher quality of sound, and it includes streaming via Apple Airplay® 21 and your compatible Apple® devices.
2. Easier Integration
A Garmin marine family product, the Fusion Apollo Series stereos bring the added benefit of total-boat connectivity. Using an Ethernet cable, you can connect multiple stereos together for unified audio control across your craft. And if you’d rather not run a cable, the Apollo™ RA770 can use Wi-Fi to wirelessly connect with an Apollo™ SRX400 accessory zone stereo — reducing installation time, cost and complexity.
And as technology improves, you can keep current with over-the-air software updates1 via the free Fusion-Link™ app on your compatible smartphone.
3. More Control
With more than one Apollo Series stereo installed, you’ll create a PartyBus™ network. It adds even more control to your Fusion system, allowing you to adjust volume across individual zones — or even turn certain ones on and off. So if you want to play a single source across multiple stereos, or maybe blast sound across the aft deck but keep it quiet in the master cabin, you can do so from anywhere.
But what if you’re not near a stereo? No problem. Most Fusion stereos work with the Fusion-Link app. Using a smartphone — or even your Garmin smartwatch2 — you can control the audio from anywhere, including the balance, subwoofer and volume levels. And in just few clicks, you can even set up custom DSP profiles3 for an optimized listening experience.
4. Build Quality
Music is the foundation of a good time on the water. But the good times are nothing if they don’t last. That’s why most Fusion products meet the rigorous standards of True-Marine™ design. Everything we make undergoes extensive testing, replicating long-term use in harsh marine environments — including salt fog, temperature, vibration and UV, as well as IP ratings for water and dust ingress.
And for added peace of mind, Fusion True-Marine products also include a 3-year warranty.
What You Need for a Full Fusion System
To get all the capabilities of a full Fusion system, you’ll need the right stereo, speakers and amplifier.
- Stereo: While we offer a full range of stereos, we recommend our DSP-enabled Fusion® Apollo Series to unlock the most benefits.
- Speakers: Available in both standard and wake tower configurations, our Fusion® Signature Series 3i delivers crystal-clear music, alongside mood-setting LEDs. And for an even fuller sound, add Signature Series 3i subwoofers and component tweeters.
- Amplifier: Efficient and easy to install, an Apollo Series or Fusion Signature Series marine amplifier will give you the power you need for best-in-class audio.
